I’ve been doing a bit of dev workflow refactoring. Here’s the new stack.

Windows 10 Pro

• Docker for Windows ( dengine)
• Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
• Docker Client (dclient wired to dengine)
• Yeoman
• Yarn (NPM wrapper)
• Webpack
• JHipster
• Spring Boot
• Angular (will also support AngularJS…but onwards and upwards yo)

Amazon Web Services

• CoreOS
• Docker

This is only (VERY!) recently possible with the Windows Creator Update (10.0.15063) set to release publicly April 11th that fixes some serious bugs in WSL. Having real linux sitting right in Windows is awesome; I really like the way Microsoft is finally opening up Windows to the rest of the world. The stack works great and is a joy to work with so far!
